Kaitlyn Fae was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. Appearing in local church and school plays since the age of 3, Kaitlyn decided she wanted to seriously pursue acting when she enrolled as a freshman at the University of California, Santa Barbara. There, she studied classical singing and performance, and was accepted into the prestigious Bachelor of Fine Arts program for acting. While there, she appeared in plays such as Shakespeare’s “Hamlet,” Sam Shepard’s “Icarus’s Mother,” the smash Broadway musicals “Aida” and “Rent,” as well as Donizetti’s opera, “Viva La Mama!” She ended up graduating Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in English.
Some of Kaitlyn’s recent film credits include: a supporting role in the Lifetime Television movie, “Flirting with Madness,” a lead role in the feature film, “The Sex Addict,” and a guest starring role in the online web series, “The Breaks,” as well as a guest starring role in the online web series, “Cafe Ole.”
In the past year, Kaitlyn has also starred in the following musicals: “The Count of Monte Cristo” at the Ricardo Montalban,”The King and I” at the Glendale Centre Theatre, “Spring Awakening” at the Morgan-Wixson, “Bare: a pop opera” at SVCAC, and “Jesus Christ Superstar” at DOMA Theatre. She also starred in the play “Real Love” last August at the Fountain Theatre.
Last April she performed in 2Cent Theatre’s Inked! Playwright Festival, and in June she appeared in “Charming,” a new musical that premiered at The Actors Company for the Hollywood Fringe Festival. Her latest theatrical role was in a new play by James Domine, “To Protect and Serve,” which premiered last October at The Complex in Hollywood.
This year, she will be playing Hermia in Theatricum Botanicum’s production of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” as well as the lead in a new play premiering at the Hollywood Fringe Festival, “Looking for Lola.”
Kaitlyn is obsessed with sushi, dogs, and psychology, and plays the piano, flute, and violin.
